Merry Christmas to All

Merry Christmas to All and Happy New Year! I am looking forward to a wonderful 2012!

Mr. Reader Replaces Reeder

I admit it. I am a RSS junkie. When it comes to reading websites for information, I cannot get enough. Fortunately, there are a number of RSS readers that allow me to quickly scan through multiple sites.

To date, I had been using Reeder ($4.99 - iTunes Link) as my primary RSS reader on my iPad. That is no longer the case as I have transitioned to Mr. Reader ($3.99 - iTunes Link). Why? Simply because it allows me to scan the multiple feeds quicker and it renders the web pages clearer and faster.

When I lazily want to scan the feeds like a magazine, I use Flipboard (Free - iTunes Link). But when I want to make short order of the feeds, it is my new friend, Mr. Reader. By the way, Reeder is still my choice on my MacBook Pro...for now.

R12 Spirituality - Living on the Edge

Living on the Edge is a website that you should definitely visit if you are interested in exploring the spirituality part of your life. They have a concept of living an authentic life as a R12 (Romans 12) Christian.

From their website:

• Surrender to God. Romans 12:1
Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy pleasing to God.

• Separate from the world’s values. Romans 12:2
Do not confirm any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.

• Sober in Self Assessment. Romans 12:3-8
Think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

• Serving in Love. Romans 12:9-13
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

• Supernaturally responding to evil with good. Romans 12:14-21
Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse.

Please give it a look...it could change your life.

Make the Ordinary Unique!

Seven Sisters

Alamo Square Park must be one of the most photographed spots in San Francisco. And here is my perfunctory tourist photo of the Seven Sisters with the San Francisco skyline in the background. To add some interest to what is an ordinary photo, I added people in the foreground and made everything black and white except the Seven Sisters.

It is a nice little picture that won't win any Pulitzer Prizes. However, it illustrates a key point about photography and life – Make the Ordinary Unique!

Enjoy!
